Think Like A Test Maker
My name is Ryan, and I started Effective Test Prep to help students master entrance exams and achieve academic success. After 10+ years of teaching the SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT, I've learned not only how to ace these exams—but also how the test makers write them. Let's have a conversation about how you or your student can benefit from tutoring.

How It Works
Set Your Goals
The future is yours for the taking. We'll start by establishing your benchmark scores with a practice test and setting scoring targets based on admissions data at the schools where you'll be applying.
Personalized Curriculum
There are four domains of academic knowledge: known knowns, known unknowns, unknown knowns, and unknown unknowns. We'll review your practice test results together to map a comprehensive plan that covers all four.
Optimized Strategy
Everyone learns differently, but standardized exams pose the same challenges every time. We'll equip you with test-taking tools that are reverse-engineered from the exams themselves to optimize your performance.
Measure Twice
There are many contingencies that can affect your outcome on test day. We'll provide accountability, support, and high-volume practice to ensure that your new skills become second-nature.
